American Optical Model 12603 Manual Lensmeter FOR PARTS / AS IS READ DESCRIPTION
The unit turns on, but it has a few issues that warrant a for parts / as is listing. The bulb runs really hot and needs to be replaced with a lower power bulb. The lever on the bottom of Pic 4 is loose and doesn't seem to adjust anything. A lot of the plastic around the bulb housing has melted and become cracked from the bulb heat (Shown in Pics 5-9). There are a few missing parts that I know of: namely a cover on the base (missing area shown in Pic 10) and a magnification lens for a wheel (Missing area shown in Pic 11). The unit has a lot of general wear from use.
Despite this the unit powers on and appears to have some function (looking through the eyepiece in Pic 3). This unit should not see regular, extended use before the appropriate maintenance and fixing has been performed. Please buy with that in mind.
